| 11 Sep 2013, 19:10. Douglas Challenger (left rear), Professor of Sociology at Franklin Pierce University, and his students whom he was leading on the Camino Francés dine at the Albergue Villamayor de Monjardín (Villamayor de Monjardín, Spain). The albergue provided a kitchen where pilgrims could prepare meals with food they’d obtained from grocery stores. My subsequent experiences on the Camino were signficantly altered (probably for the better) by the professor’s recommendation to forego walking from Santiago to Finisterre in lieu of bus travel with realloction of the time saved to sightseeing along the Camino. |
